Former Jets/Texans/Cowboys cornerback Aaron Glenn has found a new home in Jacksonville.  Glenn, who was released by the Cowboys on Friday as the Cowboys reduced their roster to 53, signed with the Jaguars today, where he will potentially compete for the nickel-back spot.  Glenn, who is now 35, was a pro-bowler in 2000 & 2001.

Aaron Glenn is represented by Jimmy Sexton of Athletic Resource Management.

  1. I was shocked to hear that Glen was cut. He is a great leader and is always at the right place at the right time. Age doesn’t seem to be slowing him down.

  2. I agree. Cowboys players were pretty upset about it as well. I think he’ll be able to help Jacksonville out a lot.

  3. Man you guys have no idea how upset I was when they cut Glenn. If Newman cant play for any length of time this season, why would you cut Glenn? Ill tell you why.. Jerry Jones was looking at the all mighty dollar. He didnt want to pay Glenn $1.5 million dollars *shakes head* Wade had moved Roy Williams out of deep coverage.. and put him back where he belongs.. if Newman cant play then Williams is going to get moved right back into deep coverage!

  4. Jerry Jones seems to be the only person who wanted Glenn to leave…he didn’t want to leave, Roy Williams is mad he’s leaving…I haven’t heard anyone say anything other than “Glenn was our 3rd best CB and we needed him”

  5. Im just wondering if Jerry Jones wanted to cut Glenn why wait to do it at the end of preseason. That put our defense in a bad position. Roy is beyond mad, he has been very vocal about it!
